IKEA - Stockholm

Control system Int. was hired to measure the floor plan of IKEA Stockholm.

IKEA defined the following conditions: speed, precision, and not limiting the customers. Therefore, the process of measurement proceeded without closing the store and also without disassembly of any installed products and expositions using the Control System Architecture product with 3D laser scanning technology. Peder Wilhelmsson says: “the complexity of the laser scanning outputs paid of many times. Architects needed new outputs, which were not part of the original assignment. Thanks to the complexity of spatial data received no further measurement was needed.”
